This was my first visit ever with Empey’s and I typically went through Oswald’s, Big-O, Les Schwab, etc… But with Empey’s, I didn’t feel like I was being taken advantage of. It wasn’t a shake down basically.. like the other auto repair businesses have become guilty of since 2020 in particular, to an insulting degree, like so many other businesses have done under the guise of Covid shortages or inflation etc (those things absolutely have an effect. But dishonesty in the car maintenance and repair industry is absolutely real). I hate dishonesty. Empey’s was honest. Simple as that. I went to 5 other auto repair places for quotes on break repair which were ALL 200$ more than what Empey’s was willing to do the job for. The staff were all kind and also willing to help me learn about why my brakes were in the condition they were in, and they also gave me the website they use to buy car parts per the car’s vin number where I could search the exact parts they bought and charged for. Very cool group of people too, all of whom I’d met for the first time so it’s not like I’m “helping a friend” with this review. I don’t normally do reviews.. but my experience was good enough to where here I am spending 15mins writing this for free LOL.. Hopefully other people at least consider getting a quote from them at the very least, and hopefully you will see what I mean :) Thanks Empey’s. 👍

My daughter broke down in Idaho Falls while trying to move from Rexburg to Provo. I called 5 shops who were too busy to fit in an emergency repair. Greg at Empey's was awesome. He understood the dire situation and got her car checked in that evening and fixed the next day. Great communication, fair pricing, and caring service! Empey's Truck & Auto Repair is going to be my first choice auto repair shop from now on. I had problems getting my car to start this past week. A friend suggested that I should call Empey's and have them come pick it up and see what they could find. The tech checked the battery, starter, and alternator first. While checking the battery, he found a badly coroded battery cable. Replaced it and that solved the problem.

I like the communication I get from Empeys about what my vehicle needs. They explain things thoroughly and are respectful toward me.
