Being the executive director of a local Small business-I like to support other small businesses in the area, that’s why I took our company vehicle to Empey’s for repairs- at the end of January we Got the quote of $852. We were told the vehicle would be done in 1 day, but after several days of getting the runaround it was done in 5 days with a total of $1601! The receptionist admitted to giving false information, and we were given a $30 discount (the total was $1631) THREE days after getting it back from Empey’s and driving it 10 miles back to the business, it started acting up again. Since we just picked it up from the repair shop, naturally I asked the driver to take it back to who just fixed it 3 days ago. Empey’s came back with another $800 estimate- something new wrong!!! They didn’t catch it before??? Not wanting to pay double the estimate again, I declined their ‘fix’. Once I declined, they proceeded to charge me $180 for diagnostics! ***BEWARE***of the surprise charges- and the way they give false information to their customers. And don’t count on them helping you get your vehicle up and running effectively, only 10 miles later out vehicle quit on us!
Hello Devin, I just wanted to let you know that I went over your review with everyone in the shop. There where multiple failure points. I want to apologize for that. I know we struggled to get the parts that we needed and had a hard time getting in contact with you. You should of never been charged a second testing fee. Once it was caught we called and left a message to refund that. I'm going to get a check in the mail for you today. Thank you for the review and helping us see how we can improve and be better.
