The fuel pump on my ‘08 Avalanche went out and they were VERY prompt about arriving to put it on a trailer to take back to their shop. Their inspection of my truck I felt was very thorough with several photos outlining routine items that I should plan on doing soon as well as identifying some other, potentially more costly, that I could take care of before they became a more severe problem. If you own a Chevy or GM vehicle - these are your guys!

I have used Empey's for more than five years and have taken many different cars there. Greg is always amazing and explains the car jargon well. Positive: When I wanted a car from a dealership inspected, they did an extensive review with video and photo evidence to show the sales reps exactly what problems the van had. They were able to get it done quickly and thoroughly. Negative: When I took my Volkswagen there with engine problems, they did repairs but the engine light came back on a day or two later. Maybe Volkswagens aren't their forte. They had major scheduling problems and I was without a car for more than a week, and finally got a loaner car as the repair time kept getting extended. They also broke the wind shield which added even more time that my car was in the shop, and no one ever explained how it happened. Overall the quality seems hit-or-miss, from very good to very bad.

I would highly recommend people stay away from Empey's Auto Repair! I took the truck in because it has been making a ticking noise for a bit and I had saved up some money so I thought I would get it fixed. This place was near the house so I gave them a call. After looking the truck over they called me back and told me that there was an exhaust leak on the drivers side, that the passenger side wasnt leaking but they recommended going ahead and replacing it anyway, the price tag for that was going to be $3,500! I told him that would clean me out so lets just fix the leak and that came out to $1,500 (including transmission service) I get the truck back and ITS STILL TICKING! I went back in and talked to Greg and he confirmed that it was still ticking, I asked if maybe they fixed the wrong side which is what I think happened and he says hes certain the leak was from the drivers side and that was that! he just kinda shrugged and we both know what that means, that I'm S.O.L. You know what this feels like? being robbed at gunpoint. same feeling. they've robbed me of at least $1,000 to "fix" the wrong thing. I doubt they even serviced that transmission. Please avoid doing business with this company if you can help it, they are out to get you. at least with an average criminal there is legal recourse but not with these kinds of criminals. you'll just be S.O.L like me.

Sorry to hear about your experience. This is definitely not the experience I want for our customers. Unfortunately on these Dodge pickups it is very common for the exhaust manifold bolts to loosen up, break, or seized into the head. This causes the exhaust leak and ticking noise. The left (drivers) side had a very large leak with two broken bolts. That is the side we focused on because it was apparent. If there are any leaks from the left exhaust manifold it will be totally covered by our warranty.

I'm impressed. I was referred to Empey's by a work friend. Greg took the time and came out to my car to see what was going on. I've never had someone do that before at other repair shops. They kept me updated every step of the way and told me exactly what to expect in fixing it and price. Greg was very professional and nice. They showed way more competency than the Hyundai dealership. I couldn't be more happy with my experience here. I will say though that they are more expensive than other local places.
